I do HVAC for a living and this is our preferred thermostat.
2 of 2 found this helpful I do HVAC install and repair for a living, and these are my company's favorite thermostats. I installed 3 to control zone valves on my own house. It's overkill for what I need but these are the easiest thermostats to set up and program. Just walk through the set up and once you've made your selections, it hides features that you don't want to use. For example, once I selected radiant heat, all the furnace options are removed from the programming steps and you don't see fan or cooling options. Might sound like no big deal, it makes programming and operating smoother. The same thing happens with the programmable features. If you select non programmable, you don't have to mess around with hold and all that stuff. You can also set the number of cooling and heating cycles per hour. This is a really nice and easy to use feature. If you change your mind an want to use these features, it's simple to go back in and turn them back on. The only downfall is that this thermostat is not the wifi capable model. If you need a wifi thermostat, you need to research other Honeywell options. And by the way, don't buy anything but Honeywell if you want long-term quality I replace a lot of non Honeywell thermostats due to intermittent issues.
