High Quality, Properly Constructed, Priced to be affordable!
2 of 2 found this helpful Made with clean, accurate cuts. These tiles were produced with an attention to detail that resulted in sharp corners, 50mm trapezoidal peaks. Have not run REW or any such tool to study the frequency response under various applications, but it's very easy to notice a reduction in that mid-high wash. A click of the tongue against existing surfaces vs foam tiled reveals greatly improved clarity in my space, it seems the density of this foam seems to "eat" the sound gently away vs. fracture the wave to throw it back out with reduced energy.
Audio-acoustical engineering in this capacity is not my wheelhouse, so take this all with a grain of salt. That being said, I'm buying another 4 packs just a few days later. The product practically speaks for itself.
One note: I found packs of 9 tiles to be a little odd and unbalanced. Why 9 tiles?
Overall, l found this product to be legitimate. It worked in the application it was purchased for with flying colors. The cost is seemingly OK, the reliability has not been tested in earnest, but after trialing a few packs in my basement work area, with a shiny polished concrete floor, it has proven its worth in function. Most notable is a drop in shallow echo waves culminating in the space. Reverb tightens up close to these tiles, and it minimally reduces a "near" echo effect one would typically expect in a decent sized basement: concrete walls, sealed/polished floors, joists without drop ceiling above. Mind numbing echo: see you later.
I apply with Loctite Spray Adhesive / Pro 300. It doesn't need as much adhesive as some competing tiles. A single pass of spray meshes well with the density of this foam. I tested it against some dirty surfaces vs a competing tile brand. I found Loctite + these tiles = no issue bonding firmly. The other brand's tiles suck up adhesive into larger pores faster, and I daresay it affects the quality of the overall surface bonding. Sure enough, 24 full cure hours, this foam is rock solid stuck to the wall. Competing specimens from the other companies fall short of...well, quite literally, they fall off with minimal poking and prodding.
Buy a pack. It's cost conducive to sample, and cost effective to scale up.

Dressed-up CAT5. Skip this and spend more.
4 of 4 found this helpful Not Good: Conductors are CCA, and the manufacturer went THIN with the copper.
Also Not Good: The CAT6 "thickness" to this cable is ALL in the jacket. It's so thick, it's an absolute nightmare to run due to the "springyness" - it's like trying to route a Slinky through a drop ceiling. It just coils and bounces, cinches and wraps around everything. If you try to smooth out the run into a more linear piece by straightening the conductors, you invariably end up with breaks.
This is Good: It has good fire safety characteristics, low flame and smoke.
Not Good Again: Easy-pull box jams. Either I got the one spool wrapped and packaged backwards, or its that thick jacket, but this cable did not like coming out of the box, and I didn't like yelling at it from 12 feet up on a ladder.

Good oil, dumb package
Really just takes a few drops, maybe two. Great product for most applications.
Downside: stupid bottle. "Burps" and leaks. Got it in a two pack, and they both want to dispense more oil than I do. Messy, irritating.
