In the world of miniature wargaming there are lots of rules available. Lion Rampant 2nd Edition is a GREAT set of basic rules to easily get you started. Utilizing basic 6 sided dice and no special cards, or other "stuff" to clutter the table the rule book and whatever miniatures you would like to use are all you need.
Specific areas where these rules really stand apart:
- Base size and shape agnostic (you can base your figures as you like and still make it work)
- Unit sizes are 6 or 12 to start reducing during the course of play. (there are special rules which "upgrade" or further set units apart from others)
- 50 miniatures would be a BIG "army," this means that 1 to 2 boxes of something should be all that is needed to get you going.
- These rules are exactly what the book description says, no more no less. That really is a good thing in this case.
- Tactics, "army" composition, and luck are what win games not how much money you spend on the latest and greatest unit. -- This is what gaming is all about, good times and great narrative play, balanced against a generalized point system.
The options are endless, using this as a core ruleset, special rules can be built to further expand your games. This is the rule set that puts the players in control of their gaming experience.
From a person who has been into wargaming for quite some time, I strongly recommend the rules in the book. (Yes the hardcover book is nice, yes there is nice art inside, yes there are come good photos inside... but it is the rules themselves that shine!)
Overall this is a great intro package that will get you and your battery up and running quickly. The charger is simple and easy to use, the only downside is that while it is easy to charge the battery there is no discharge function. This being the case charging a LiPO battery and allowing it to sit for a length of time without discharging it will decrease the lifespan of the battery.
Again this is a great value and great intro set, however, if you are concerned about your batteries and investment an option with a discharge function would be a better route.
The Loophole in LSAT Logical Reasoning

A great tool for LSAT prep
The Loophole in Logical Reasoning is a great book for LSAT study. It is absolutely worth it to purchase the book new in unused condition as it is a "workbook" designed for the reader to fill out as they work through the various chapters.
The core chapters are 1 - 8, which outline the basic strategy of cutting through all the difficult wording and complex structure of the LR questions.
Using this book along side other LSAT prep materials I felt confident going into the exam, and my score reflected much of the time I dedicated to following along with the study methods and tips outlined in this book. I would absolutely recommend it and again purchase this book new/unused if you want to maximize the effectiveness of the material.
