Thank you so much for making (!) and selling this sturdier, more high-quality revision of the notoriously brittle Sony knob! What a great solution! Fast shipping and great communication!

1x2 Digital Optical TOSlink Audio Splitter Multiplier Combiner Converter NEW

Does Not Work
It was a gamble just to try it, but ultimately it does not work. The theory is that is can split an ADAT signal into two paths. I was using it to try to duplicate a clock-sync signal into two paths. Couldn't even do that. Upon inspection, I know the reason it does not work: internal refraction due to the poor fiber optics(?) inside is causing a double signal but at half the intensity of the originating source. Incoming ADAT "red light" is solid and bright. Plug it into the splitter, and the "red dots" in each output port are doubled, as in "double-vision" but half the size and about half as bright. The optics are not aligned and therefore cannot be effectively input into the connecting cables.
