Top notch microphone at a good price--if you can find one.
2 of 2 found this helpful I have bought a total of six Electro-Voice PL84 microphones on eBay within the last six months. Every one of them has arrived quickly, safely, in great condition. Every one of them has performed even better than I had hoped. The audio quality is excellent, with a warm, clean, crisp, natural and uncolored sound. The frequency response is phenomenal and there is almost no handling noise if you have to hold the mic as you sing. Our six-piece bluegrass band uses these for vocals and for instruments. They really shine on vocals, even better than the Shure SM58 mic.
I don't know why EV quit making these mics unless it was so that they could sell it under a new model number and at a greater price. :) Naw, they wouldn't do that, would they?

An oldie but a goody!
If your mixer has phantom power, this mic will deliver top-notch professional sound on stage or in the studio. It is a bit delicate and cannot tolerate rough handling such as being dropped on the floor.

Could've been a 5-Star!
This Yamaha equalizer is a great unit, really. It would have been perfect if it had the Feedback Locating system like Peavey and some others do. Equalizers are becoming "old hat" these days, anyway, what with the plethora of digital mixers coming out. But if you need a high-quality dual 31-band analog equalizer, this one is great, especially if you know how to "ring out" a sound system. This Yamaha will do the job.
