NOT MUCH HELP
2 of 2 found this helpful Purchased new to use primarily in bedroom on a new light colored Pergo floor - wanted to be able to quickly vacuum dust under bed and furniture without getting the large vacuum out all the time. Not enough suction and just ends up streaking leaving dust residue on floor so I end up having to use a dust mop to get it all. Works even worse on carpeting. Great as a handheld unit for doing edges or surfaces, but hardly worth the purchase. Just another fairly useless device in my opinion.

BASIC MARY AMERICAN MODEL
1 of 1 found this helpful This Robert Tonner American Model has a beautiful face and head tilts much better than previous ones I have owned. Be aware that the most recent Mary is on a 2004 Tonner body and head is not a great fit for the neck, that is probably why it tilts better. Could be better quality. My problem with the American Model has always been the body. Very stiff. Arms don't move about well. Even though she has bending elbows, wrists and knees, much could have been improved on the movement and sitting factors of this doll which I think would have highly increased her popularity. Also a better stand. The one that comes with her is just a rod that goes up into a hole between her legs and even though this a great if you happen to have a tight fitting dress, it doesn't provide solid support and is difficult to use. But I get around this by using a separately purchased stand. I do like her very much and enjoy sewing for her. Would recommend and am sorry to see Robert Tonner venture away from this and other beloved dolls. This size is great and had so much potential with improved flexibility of the body.

DON'T EXPECT QUALITY
These are very very thin and not as pretty as photos - I was rather disappointed but when the price is this low, you should not expect anything else. I would suggest spending a bit more and not wasting your money.
