Quality product
I've had both the OneUp and now Wolf Tooth versions of this Cog and both haven't disappointed in quality of material and craftsmanship. The Wolf Tooth units have more color choices though :)

Way over my head
As a newbie I haven't had much experience with charge controller or solar in general yet I've decided to build a small off-grid cabin and learn quickly. I had already owned a few pieces of gear in a portable kit I built for camping use. I have added to/replaced all of that gear up to the 18$ charge controller. Each step yielded a massive difference in how quickly the battery bank was charged but none as much as the MSC Classic. MPPT technology is no joke and should be considered a necessary to any solar system you will be using in multiple day stretches. I will admit to only using it in it's most basic form but by design; my system will utilize many of the features it has.
Performance: 400 Watts of panels in 12v configuration with a 400ah battery bank - from 60% to 89-90% charge before took the entire 3.5 hour direct sunlight hours to replenish with the prior unit. I can replenish with the MSC C150 in less than an hour and reach more capacity in the battery bank.
Thanks for taking me to a level above hobby Midnight Solar.

Mail order king
If your decision is to mail/internet order your Solar pieces then Renogy has some of the better products for your dollar. They continually test better than some of the other kit brands available and the workmanship shows. US company with overseas production at the moment but stilll able to keep a decent level of production. I have now made it to a 800W solar system with 600AH battery(ies) and it's just about perfect for my living style. If you're planning on using Solar to replace or augment in a very big way your grid electric reach out to a pro or better two but if DYI is your thing check this brand out.
