Norco RPC-432 4U Short Depth Rackmount Support 13" Long Add-on Cards

You get what you pay for, but gets the job done
RPC-432 fits a narrow niche - inexpensive, 4U short depth chassis. Fit and finish are OK, but corners are cut, presumably to reduce cost. There are a few quirks to be aware of: 1 - front (2) 12cm fans are fastened using proprietary "quick release" system instead of standard self-tapping screws. If rubber shims are lost/damaged, no alternate means of fastening fans. 2 - drive cage at front of chassis is very crowded. This would be expected for a compact HTPC chassis, but for a 4U server chassis it is a poor design. 3 - metal front grill provides good ventilation, but no way to remove for cleaning of backing foam. 4 - internal usb v2.0 and 3.0 headers are terminated on single cable, about 3" apart. If motherboard headers are separated you will have to purchase extension for one of them. 5 - pci slot brackets are not included. Chassis comes with "knock-out" covers that cannot be re-installed once removed. Kit comes with comprehensive set of hardware to configure for compact single and redundant power supplies. Odd choice of investment when other areas are short-changed.
