Smooth movement and all metal
1 of 1 found this helpful All metal, nice weight to it. Smooth movement. There is a little backlash but if you're getting this to convert a drill press, it should be perfect.
Other than the minor backlash, not too many cons, the red paint in the table is a bit spotty but I could care less about that.
Overall would recommend.

These headphones are incredibly comfortable and have a precise and detailed sound quality. The extra low-end they provide helps add some more fun and life to the sound, although they still won't match some good closed-backs in that regard. I've read that these headphones can be slightly harsh in the high ends, but I haven't noticed this issue paired with the Schiit Jotunheim using the warmer modi multibit DAC.

Excellent wireless headphones
Sound quality is great. I use these connected to the Schiit modi and magni on my PC. When listening to music I get good, tight bass and good mids and highs (take that with a grain of salt, I'm no hi-end audiophile) no hiss or weird noises while I use these.
Wireless connection is great, from sitting right next to the receiver to walking into the room farthest away from my office I never dropped audio (2 bedroom apartment with about 3-4 walls in between, a larger house might have more connectivity issues)
The extra features like the voice and dynamic enhancer is nice with videos and movies but for music I turn all that off. If your hearing impaired it might benefit you more.
Biggest downside is the weight (can't really be avoided with the wireless components,) while they aren't very heavy and don't cause discomfort; they tend to slip off my head a bit when I look down. Definitely not portable but I'm guessing you figured that out, you'll need a plug to supply the base with power.
Speaking of the base, I love the design of it and how it doubles as a headphone stand and charger for your headphones (unless you use non rechargeable batteries, then you'll just make a mess and potentially ruin your headphones once the batteries leak.)
As for pricing, 499 or 400? Forget about it, unless you have the money to blow then you do you. If you can find them on sale (I payed close to, if not less than, 1/3 that) pull that trigger. If your interested in open back headphones more than closed give the rs185s a glance too.
