Good performance after difficult file transfer.

It is about what I expected: increased speed over my 10 year old laptop. So far it has been plenty fast for my needs (mostly browsing and start up and shutdown). The transfer of files from the old laptop was a pain. Used the provided free Laplink software but it took 4 tries before a successful transfer completed. Not sure why Laplink was so problematic. Perhaps because I had a D: partition on the old pc. Didn't succeed until we created a D: partition on the HP. CSRs were nice but not very well informed. During the 3 unsuccessful attempts estimated transfer times were in the 25 hour range. The successful one took about 8 hours, 135gb over an ethernet cable.
