One excellent story and two decent ones. Worth reading.
This final volume (for now) of Astro City contains three stories, the first of which is easily the best. Even one who is not a dog-lover will be touched by the story of G-Dog. The second is merely OK, and features a woman trying to discover the fate of her father, a scientist and dedicated left-wing activist who left behind a legacy of super-powers for anyone who "truly cares for others"...though one suspects that there is a particular political slant to that definition. The final story has some genuinely excellent moments, and is a good story in and of itself, but it's a follow-up to the award-winning tale "The Nearness of You" which ended on such a perfect note that a follow-up feels like it's been cheapened. Overall, though, I'd recommend reading this.
