works great on the memory chips and vrms for an evga gtx570oc
needed to replace the evga factory thermal compound after 5 years, accidentally ripped the thermal tape, bought a caliper and measured the evga factory white thermal tape and it's 1.5mm. no websites will identify this for you. How to fix overheating video card - Jayztwocents Tutorial on you tube. i also bought new Thermal Grease Paste Compound Silicon and applied a little bit of this compound to the heat sink side of the thermal pad to improve thermal conductivity.
this combination works great. i made a video of how i did it but have not had time to upload the video to you tube, and i have not finished the video showing that it works even 2 months later as proof, as i have not had time for anything but eat sleep and work the last few weeks. i can say i am writing this from a gtx570oc sli set up that i did this to both video cards with just two thirds of (66mmx100) of one sheet: 33x100 for each evga gtx570oc and i cut a couple memory pads bad and still had enough extra on the 33mm strips i already cut off to fix the 2 pads i cut short with new whole pieces. i then cut the bad memory chip pads into VRM pad strips ( the tiny power phase voltage regulators between the memory chips) and gave them some cover.
i used artic silver 5 on the GPU as it is sealed electrically, and it's cooling even better than before i had bought them by 2-5 degrees. running two 32" 1080 monitors at 144hz with 4ms response.
