Great Refurb - Kid loves it & its durable
2 of 2 found this helpful This thing is great. We bought it to replace my daughter's 1st gen iPad after I accidently knelt on the screen - oops. the 1st gen no longer supported the apps that she wanted and didn't run all that smooth w/ the ones that it did support.
Anyways - I'm sure other reviewers can do better w/ the spec's and processor speed & whatnot - This one works great for us, it supports all the apps/games my daughter, 4yo, uses and does not crash on them. screen is large & resolution is very good and it is very durable. I like the bigger screen for her so I don't have to worry so much about her developing eye problems from looking at a tiny screen. we have a beefy case on it that I only spent $15 on (not an otterbox or anything expensive) & it has survived many drops from the table (onto hardwood) and top of bunk bed (onto carpet). I use it for shopping apps and like the big screen vs. my little 8" LG tablet. It runs fast and very rarely buffers when watching videos on Netflix or youtube (tho that my be my super awesome wifi).
This unit in particular (not talking about iPad 2s in general) was exactly as described and I am actually impressed w/ its quality - screen was brand new and all internal components seem to work perfectly. I was a tad worried about it being a refurb from prior school usage. there was very minor markings on the outer case which were covered by the protective case we put on it anyways. I deff suggest this to anyone looking for a reasonable priced iPad that will still run all apps. I would buy another one if I had any excuse to do so.
