Not ready for prime time: A Rubik's Cube of an Amp.
8 of 10 found this helpful DOUK Audio is selling the same few poorly engineered and assembled amps and pre-amps under various model and brand names - some of wood pieces strapped onto them and some don't, and I do have one that I bought two yeara aog that has worked well - but I bought one three weeks ago and WATCH OUT!
I bought one that looks exactly like this one and it is a hissing, snap-crackling-pop Rubik's Cube of a machine. It sounds OK one minute and the next it starts making all these weird noises.
This DOUK brand of electronics is not ready for prime time: stay away unless you are a gambler.
DOUK did kindly refund my purchase but they are incessantly emailing me to get me to change my negative review - so, guess what? Here's another negative review for them.
If it is from DOUK, then it has no quality control during manufacture.

No quality control at all.
Inputs on front panel are recessed BEHIND the face plate and not in line with the face plate openings. Yes, it is cheap, but why not assemble it correctly? This DOUK Brand is poor quality all through their product line.
Sometimes, it is OK to get junk because, for instance, when I am working on my cars in my garage I am not critically listening to music so who cars if it isn't near perfect? But, when you cannot even get a plug to fit into the thing it is just no quality control. NO QUALITY CONTROL ON DOUK PRODUCTS.
Look at the depth of the socket in attached pic: deep and offset from face plate opening. Obviously, no one with eyes looked at it before shipping it to me.
