All are good "bones": Best ONLY if you know how to fully restore the metronome with it's movement properly serviced, calibrated and put it in beat.
Seth Thomas made some of the best metronomes over 30 years ago. None have been made since. Unfortunately many have their original old mainspring grease that like any mechanical clock, is sure to be gummy after that many years. Don't waste your money if you want to use it for daily music practice unless you pay for the proper service on the movement. In particular, this is actually a good value because I know how to do that service. Stay away from any metronome where someone sprayed it with WD-40, OR claims that it works well without doing a full movement service including removing the mainsprings for cleaning. A proper service takes the right tools and skill and should run at least $150. A fully restored Seth Thomas metronome is easily worth more than anything made today, in my mind as a musician who uses a metronome. I rate it 5 stars and a good value because I know how to do that service, image of this cleaned up movement attached.

Nice quality panel with built in stand
These solar panels are quite efficient. They only put out 40 watts at 17 volts, so you need an MPPT controller to achieve the stated wattage when charging a 12 volts battery. They seem weather proof with glass and metal frames. The corners are black plastic so I doubt they will survive the UV rays for more than 5 years, but they do help prevent contacting any sharp metal corners.

One of the best made metronomes, fully restored to last generations
My daughter is using a fully serviced and restored Seth Thomas metronome that used to belong to her great Grandma. The Seth Thomas Clock company designed these so well, that I am confident she could pass it down to her kids.
This particular metronome is also fully restored, serviced and calibrated. Not too many people actually do this service. This makes it a good value because if you buy any ordinary "as found" metronome, it may be out of beat, have cracked or split seams, not running smooth at all speed settings, or have mainspring troubles from old oils that gum up. Just like a fine antique clock, these should be professionally serviced before being put into daily use. Once you find a metronome that has been serviced, it should not need servicing for 10 to 20 years, provided that the instructions for winding are followed to wind slowly and to stop winding when resistance is felt. Just like a fine musical instrument, it is also important to take good care of it by replacing the dust cover after use and to not accidentally knock it off from your piano.
