A Codex so good it destroyed Caliban
The 9th Edition Coded for the Dark Angels is arguably one of the best Space Marine Codex of all chapters currently available (as of Sept 28, 2021). The Dark Angels specific detachment rules granting Objective Secure to elite units in special Ravenwing and Deathwing detachments synergizes with the meta game of 9th edition which revolves around taking and keeping objectives during each round of the game. Dark Angel specific relics and warlord abilities enhance units that were already great on their own. The special rules for Dark Angel companies are great because they play directly into the strengths of those units. Last but not least the unique Librarian powers of Interromancy are considered the best in the game. If you want an army of Space Marines that plays well in all facets of the game, consider playing Dark Angels. And if you don't care about that, the Lore for the Sons of the Lion should bring you hours of enjoyment as one of the more compelling and interesting Space Marine Chapters.
