not my favorite sisters record
while the band is still one of the greatest of all time in my opinion this record has to be my least favorite. there are good moments with tracks "ribbons" and "more".

Kate Bush "Aerial" A Genius Returns
Since her debut in 1978 with the single Wuthering Heights I have been enjoying everthing this musical genius has created. I must admit at times I felt almost hopeless that another record would follow after "The Red Shoes" in 1993. I was left a little dissapointed with "The Red Shoes", and after 10 years I figured maybe that would be my last impression of her. Well I was so wrong, "Aerial" her first record in 12 years truely proved to be a homecoming of true spirited musical genius. Kate has proved once again on this double vinyl,cd set that she has not lost any of her incredible vision. Aerial sores. "Hounds of love" used to be my favorite record of hers but with "Aerial in the discography there's an even tie betwwen hounds, and Aerial. The first disc will make you cry from joy and sorrow. The second disc will take you to a place of imagination and wonderment. A must have record just for the pure genius of it all.

Mr. Murphy still gives me something really special.
I have to admit on first listen I had to look at the cover again to realize I was listening to Peter Murphy. I hated it on the first listen, and was left feeling " shatterred" no pun intended. Then just recently I thought maybe I should give it another listen, and I'm sure glad I did. Mr. Murphy as I recall gave me a similar reaction ten years ago with "Cascade" now its his best work in my opinion with "deep" close behind. "UNSHATTERED" HAS TO GROW ON YOU LIKE ALL GOOD ALBUMS. The record has some real nice high points with tracks " Idle Flow" AND "Piece of You" which will delite the Peter Murphy fan with his howling vocals. I also really love the track "Kiss myself" as well. I have a feeling I will have an update on this record in time to come with other tracks that will please me more in the long run. Peter Murphy is one of the most amazing vocal talents in our time. He can please an audience with a (not so great) musical arrangemnt with the saving grace of his voice. The songs are written well, but some of the musical arrangemetns come across a little flat. Over all it's worth picking up and adding to your Murphy/bauhaus collection. Not his best record but a good listen.
