Not shinny
They are not shinny like stock Tamiya ones. As for the Matt finish in the description.

Stock Tamiya gear set
It is stock Tamiya so the metal isn't strong. It wears out with use. Direct replacement parts. Aftermarket differentials are $100 or more depending on the make.

It looks like exzactly what Tamiya uses in the truck sets. So it's OK but with regular use it does wear and has fillings and damage. So got a spare
