Overwhelming Bass Swamp with Very Little Detail Escaping

I preferred the sound of the 1st generation T1 which provided much more clarity and with crisper bass. The 2nd generation overwhelms you with bass and much detail is lost in the murk. Periodically some higher frequencies will emerge out of the swamp in what sounds like bands of sound. It's inexplicable how that happens.

Compressed Maxed-Out Sound (Not the Tube Mastering) & "Tic Tac Toe" instead of "Mo' Green Onions"

I was hoping that the reissue corrected the error. "Tic Tac Toe" still is used instead of the "Mo' Green Onions" that is in the track list. I was also hoping that the great 1991 sound quality was maintained when Bill Inglot used tube equipment as he also did with the Motown box set. Instead we get the de rigueur compression and ear-splitting maxxed-out Rhino sound.

This ACE Shirelles compilation from 1992 is still the most comprehensive single CD available. It's clearly got the best sound quality. Essential for girl group aficionados.
