easy to install
It was easy to install and works great. Note the outer cover comes detached so it can be painted to match the car. It easily snaps on but once attached it is hard to remove without breaking. If you want to paint it, do so before attaching. If you are replacing a broken mirror assembly you can try and remove its outer cover and use on this replacement part so you don't have to paint the one they give you. The outer cover is hard to remove without breaking but I was able to do so from the old mirror assembly I was replacing.

This was an exact replacement fit for my 1999 BMW 740 (E38). The price was lower than I expected to find.
