The Best Sock Book
1 of 1 found this helpful If you can knit this book can turn you into a sock knitter. From the top down (cuff to toe) Ann Budd takes you through each step of the anatomy of a sock. She explains in words, good line drawings and close-up, color photographs how to accomplish each step. She then takes you into a pattern and its variations for foot size and yarn weights. Each step is easy to understand and concise. She can make a successful sock knitter out of every basic knitter.
The last half of the book covers adding texture to the basic stockinette stitch leg or using multiple yarns to create your own stripes. There are 14 patterns contained in the book.
