Tight little package packs serious punch.
5 of 5 found this helpful I've been ready for an HD camera for a while now - and as soon as I had this camera in my hands I fell in love. The Vixia HF S10 is a brilliant little package, compact yet sturdy, feels great, with a variety of recording options. I have had nothing but excellent results with my video so far, although the low light recording is not great - but acceptable.
I am a Final Cut user, and this camera integrates nicely with FC Studio 2. Log and transfer is extremely easy.
I love the quality of still image this camera produces, very surprising for a camcorder.
Battery life could be better, but extra packs always on order with most photographers/videographers.
I found a good deal on the S10, otherwise an S100 would have been perfectly fine.
