Port Chicago Calif.
1 of 1 found this helpful I heard about the Book from a family member as Our Mother was born and raised there but it was Bay Point when she was born than later changed to Port Chicago,my Dad and Uncles called it little Chicago we were raised there never wanting to leave a Great Town with the Best Family ever and that was the whole damm town. Until the Navy bought us out no fighting it. Government wants it they take it just like they did from the Indians, torn Our Home Town apart and Families..Sad but True...My Grandfather was at one time the Chief of the Voluntary Fire Dept. Smokey or Pops Clark and my Late Great Brother n Law. Our Mother Edna M.Clark Froid and Brother n Law Lightnin Raymond Lee Law have pasted away Mom Dec 18,2008 Ray Apr.10,09 this year ..Ray play Ole Timers Baseball plus Volunteer Fireman..we had a Great Town... it would of been nice to have the main families that lived there all their lives or born there to have their names in this book as our Uncle Elmer B.Froid was mentioned he was from Minneapolis Minnesota he was killed on broad ship when they blew all Navy men our father Carl Froid worked for General Chemical One Most People Dream Of...There are alot of great stories to tell and this town was very special to a bunch of people ...Carlene Froid
