You get what you pay for, I guess
1 of 1 found this helpful In my experience it's best to pay as much as you can afford for good-quality tools. However, I didn't want top fork out 40 - 50 quid for a professional standard case-opener tool as I didn't envision using it very often. I have paid the price already by scratching the case of an expensive watch. Basically the tool adjustments lack precision and the 'tips' supplied are very poor quality; there are 6 sets of three but it's difficult to tell them apart because they are so badly made. I wouldn't recommend using this tool on a watch you value.
