Classic C++ book that doesn't waste your time with redundancy.

Good classic C++ book, unlike other books which are too verbose, this packs a lot of meaning into a small book. While it isn't up to date with the current C++ standard, this is a great starting place to learn the fundamentals, and most code should work since it's backwards compatible. You'll find an interesting program near the end that builds upon the concepts of Object oriented programming. A good alternative to Stroustroup's book, which is more comprehensive, but way longer. Read this first, then try that one!
