Vera Bradley Trimmed Bag/Tote in the pretty Far Out Floral pattern

The written description is misleading, The written description says it is a Small Bag/Tote. The dimensions listed are 11.5 width and 11.25 height.That sounds small and was what I wanted. But the 11.5 width is the very bottom of the bag and it spreads out to 14 inches at the opening with the zipper. This is overall much too big for what I wanted and that 14 inches is not mentioned in the description. If it had said that the Bag is 14 inches at the opening and tapers to 11.5 at the bottom I would not have purchased it. When I removed it from the plastic bag there was a very unpleasant odor. I had to put it outdoors for a couple of hours to get rid of the odor.
