V-Series not as good as the M-Series
1 of 1 found this helpful Due to my seller making a mistake, I had the opportunity to try out both an 80GB M-Series and the 128GB V-Series. Gotta say, when the correct drive (the 128GB) came in the mail, I was half tempted to send it back and just keep the 80GB that was mistakenly sent to me. Looking at the specs, the M-Series way over twice as fast on reading, and trust me, you can tell a heck of a difference due to the read increase. Boot time on my Ubuntu laptop was half what it is now with the V-Series SSD.
I had originally purchased this SSD due to it's size but since it came with an external kit, I took my old HDD, velcroed it to my laptop's lid, and now just plug it in when I need to access the larger storage for stuff that I don't need on my faster/smaller SSD.
In hindsight, I would've gone with a smaller M-Series or E-Series and had my old HDD piggybacking like it is now. I would've had blazing fast boots and absolutely everything would've run twice as fast while still having access to all my larger files. C'est la vie, lesson learned.

Good, affordable minimum armor.
Luckily, I haven't had to test these in a fall yet. They're kinda small for what I was expecting but they cover the critical parts, hold on well, and I'm confident it'll be adequate protection if I fall.
