Good item
For some reason my printer goes through magenta and yellow like a dose of salts, so not having grey is less of a problem than not having those two colours. The big Black is another good 'colour'.

It's great, once you can get the lid closed
This is a lovely item although it's price is as heavy as the thing itself. And it took me two goes before I could figure out how the lid worked. Even when I'd got that worked out, it was quite a struggle to actually close it. I daresay it'll get easier. It's really easy to clean and well worth persevering with the odd closure, though.

Don't buy anything else.
I have an Epson 1290 - brilliant printer, slow and pretty ancient now (it's about 10 years old) but completely irreplaceable. I used to buy compatibles for it, but after a while realised that their quality was so poor that I spent most of the time cleaning the heads (or attempting to). Using genuine Epson inks, I can put the cartridge in and the colours are clear and flowing well right from the off. Ok, they're a lot more expensive - but the difference in quality is mega.
