23 of 36 found this helpful The TI-83 and TI-84 are the same calculator. The TI-84 has more memory. Most people don't use all the memory anyway. If you need a graphing calculator, the 83/84 is the best one. If you learn a little about programming, this calculator can be amazing. However, if you're going to get a big calculator, learn how to use it! This calculator can be intimidating if you're not used to it. It's worth learning it, though.
If you don't have to have a graphing calculator, look at the TI-36X Pro.
