mostly very good with a few caveats
1 of 5 found this helpful The ten-inch Kindle is a good product -- I mean, a "miracle" in terms of where we were ten or twenty years ago. A few remarks: I think I would have been satisfied with an 8" model, as the 10" (actually 9.5 x 6.5) displays two pages at the same time and one page would have been enough, and easier to handle. The ten inch is simply an awkward size and too slippery to handle until you've put it into a case.
A minor complaint is that the illumination of the print changes light and dark when there's a bright object or lamp nearby, which is pretty disturbing. And of course the deluge of Amazon advertisements at start up is annoying.
