Grass seed is fragile and short-lived
Compared to other seed used on the same job, this seed is quite fragile and prone to die-off. I thought the first occurrence was some kind of fluke, and reseeded from the same bag, but it now is dying. The seed was planted in fresh topsoil, well watered, and in warm temperatures.
