Simply The Best.
2 of 2 found this helpful There is an adage that reads: "Always buy the best-- you will never be disappointed". That is certainly true here. Yes, the cost per GB is more than for rotating media. But the sheer advantage of using an NVMe storage device simply cannot be overstated. I got a 50x performance boost with this thing over a standard SATA magnetic drive. With more than a few applications running at once, Windows uses TONS of file I/O (even while you're not actually DOING anything with them). My system went from utterly unusable to faster than it was when new, so NVMe is definitely the way to go! While NVMe is great, Samsung makes it truly awesome. They have the best chip set, are simply faster and definitely worth the extra money even though competing drives are cheaper (and the 5yr warranty sealed the deal).
