New Digs: A Roy of the Rovers Graphic Novel by Keith Richardson

Good story but
Loved ROTR since early 80s, but the artist David Sque has really had his day. It's a decent enough story, not long enough, but the artwork is dire. They should've gone back to the original artist in this series.

unusual 50/50 with great tracks from the new boys
Continuing on after thd departure of Lyndsey Buckingham, Mac employed Rick Vito and Billy Burnett. You'd think this album without LB it was ready for the scrap heap before giving it a try, well to be honest, you'd be half right, BUT the songs written and sung by Rick and Billy are thd best tracks on the album, it's Christine McVie snd Stevie Nicks who let the side down. Especially the McVie songs (I've never been a big fan, only when Bob Welch was in the band dud she turn out decent material ), but the singles from the albumwere hhers and they let the slbum down badly. Billy songs are the strongest tracks overall and it's interesting that he was on Macs next album 'Time' and stevie had jumped ship with McVie not far behind.

Prison Break
I bought this CD on the strength of watching the Joaquin Phoenix movie 'Walk the Line' and was left a little disappointed. The power of the performance at Folsom in the movie is incredible, it looks like Cash on fire. The 'actual' performance on CD you can hear Cash in more of a mellow mood. But still it's a fabulous CD, the songs are amazing, and the Cash voice is fantastic. But don't buy after watching the film, you may be disappointed.
