It works!
I took a chance and ordered this without inspecting the old broken one and it turned out that I needed the other one with the smaller diameter shaft. Instead I used a pocket knife and whittled the plastic base, where the shaft rides, a little wider. It was very easy to do and it works great.
Other than the differences in the shaft it is exactly the same as my original wheel.
I kinda wish I would have bought two after my first one broke only after about a year.
