Great value & functionality, in a compact size
I installed this CMX660 into my 2018 Tundra TRD Off Road. I chose this unit because of the size and functionality that it offered. I paired this unit with a Firestik 2 (3') antenna. Because the Tundra is short on space, I mounted it in the center console and it looks fantastic!
Using a SWR meter (not provided), I was able to tune the unit and antenna to 1.3:1; it doesn't get much better than that.
The filtering functionality is outstanding and easy to use. Uniden made it simple to filter the noise and hone in on the signals. The weather alert functionality is terrific as well.
The only modification I made was that I soldered a cigar lighter adapter to the power feed on the unit. This allowed me to use the receptacle in the center console and save me from having to do additional power wiring. The benefit of this power approach is that the unit is completely mobile! I can easily take it from my truck and put it an ATV, Boat or whatever.
If you're looking for features and mobility, all in a compact size... look no further.

Well made and performant
1 of 1 found this helpful I installed this antenna on my 2018 Tundra and paired with a Uniden CMX660 CB. I am also leveraging a Firestik quick disconnect and Firestik firering coax assembly. Together, I was able to tune the rig to 1.3:1 SWR - it doesn't get much better than that.
