Fish like it

Bit smaller pieces than I thought but the fish eat it up. Some of them sink and some float so it’s almost perfect.

Works as intended.

This ballast lights up a single 9W UV-C lamp. No starter required. Cheaper than purchasing a whole UV sterilizer. Just wire in series with the lamp on the line side. Using on a 2-pin G23 type bulb. Only con is installation because it's a little heavy and bulky, I've got it screwed to the underside of a cabinet.

Great replacement for looks

Looks as good as the original. The problem with the original is the spring tension is so great it eventually prys the plastic apart with the metal bar. The spring tension on this new one is a lot lighter, which is good and bad. It won’t open up on its own like the old one but it won’t break again in the same way so I’m happy giving it a little assistance to open up all the way. You could use the old springs with this new lid and it would snap open just like it’s supposed to but I didn’t care about that. The padding is very hefty it actually takes force to get it latched the first couple weeks until the foam gets formed. 4/5 due to not being identical to original but it’s 5/5 for me personally
