Donaldson Style 1 Round Muffler

Shocking surprised.

My muffler for my medium duty international broke free on the downpipe side during a 1000 mile trip. So you could imagine how loud it was inside the cab. However I noticed better fuel economy. So I decided to start looking for different mufflers. Most 4" muffler are well outside sane prices so I figured I would order a semi Muffler and fab up the rest with some cheap 5" to 4" adapters. I didn't really want a straight though due to less than stellar research on my part. There are more models under the donaldson style 1. When I received the muffler I noticed right away it was a straight through. With no time to send back and order another I ran with it and figured it would be quieter than not having one. After it was all said and done. This is by far quieter than the stock!! Absolutely no drone! (I also have a stack) But best of all the truck's egts are cooler compared to the original Muffler and no increase from when it was just the downpipe. So I was shocked a straight though was doing this well as far as sound.
