Big Disappointment, Fly Should Take Their Name of These. Wireless Not Up to Snuff vs. Wired
1 of 1 found this helpful Normally, "Fly" brand products are great.
As far as heated gloves go, I am comparing 4 month old wireless Fly gloves with a set of 3 year old "wired" Tourmaster brand.
I purchased these Fly Ignitor 2's for cold temps and to use for pushing snow w/ my ATV. The convenience of "wireless" was a big attraction since wired gloves take a bit of time to get going (routing wires through coat sleeves, etc).
As far as performance on a 10* Fahrenheit snowy day:
-Fly Ignitors were lukewarm inside the house before going outside. More insulation, but the heating ability was barely noticeable. There also was minimal if any difference in the low/med/high settings. Felt like the same temp. Outside in the cold @ 10*, they barely helped. Honestly wouldn't have known there were on highest setting. Fail...
-Wired gloves (in this case, Tourmaster brand) outperformed the wireless by far. Though there was less insulation in the gloves, the heating elements performed great, noticeable difference in settings, etc... Hands stayed nice & warm.
Charging:
-I am having terrible luck with the battery charger. It has 2 leads, but only seems to want to charge 1 battery at a time. I even purchased another new battery ($30) to make sure it wasn't the problem.
My intent is not to compare Fly vs. Tourmaster, but more "wireless" vs. "wired". I only have experience with these two gloves, and in this case the wired performed great, Fly Ignitor 2 wireless was pretty much worthless and a waste of money in the conditions tested.

My Favorite Flashlight So Far
I have a total of 4 of these now. 1 in the pickup, 1 in each motorcycle and 1 for the house. Outstanding brightness in a small package, outperform all the old incandescent flashlights I accumulated over the years. Great for lighting up the outdoors at night or tinkering under the hood. I only had a tiny problem with 1, it cut out once in a while so I unscrewed the bottom cap, stretched the contact spring and hasn't blipped once.
I also like it because its simple on/off & beam focus. No having to cycle through S.O.S., low beam, high beam, strobe, etc just to turn it off.
