Contour not so good
1 of 1 found this helpful I was a competitive swimmer for 15 years and always used the rectangular paddles with lots of holes. I remember the feel of each stroke pulling with those, and these are quite different. It's not necessarily a negative, but these don't provide the feel I was hoping for when training with paddles. My hands are large, and even though these are size large, my hands don't fit the contour very well. To match my palms with the contour, my fingers hang over the ends. If I line up my fingers in the right spot, the rubber bands don't line up in a good place on my wrists and fingers, and my palms fail to get the right spot for the best pull feel. These probably just take some getting used to, and I'm sure they are better for stroke technique than the plain rectangle paddles. But I was hoping for the nostalgia!
