SONY XDR-S41D Portable DAB+/FM Radio - White

Excellent sound quality, well-made and quick and easy to set up.

My review title says it all really. I bought this radio to replace an older DAB/FM radio in my kitchen which had just failed. This Sony offers excellent sound quality, far better than you’d expect from the small loudspeaker. The instructions are comprehensive but not really needed as it’s so simple and intuitive to set up and save stations to presets. It’s a sturdy piece of kit and battery life on four AAs is more than acceptable. I’ve since bought another fir my bedside table. Who could ask for more?!

Every home should have a pair (or two!) of these pliers!

I was looking for some new decent but not too expensive pliers for everyday use around the home. The consensus from online reviews is that Knipex are the Rolls-Royce of pliers. That’s definitely borne out by the quality and finish. This model is large and sturdy enough for a variety of tasks without being cumbersome. There are other models for specialised uses but these will do me fine. They’re superb value too and worth the slightly extra cost over run of the mill brands/models.

Just what I wanted!

This bowl is just the right size for its intended purpose and the textured interior makes it quick and easy to whip up a decent lather. My only observation - NOT a complaint I stress - is that the handle is superfluous, for me at any rate. I find it more convenient to hold the bowl in the palm of my hand when using it. However, everyone's different so the handle is just as likely to suit other users. The Polsilver blades included with the purchase are first-rate as well.
