2 of 3 found this helpful One of the best Westerns ever made! Has many story lines in it. Was nominated for several Oscars including the late Brandon De Wilde, who was just 11 when the picture was made. De Wilde died in a motorcycle crash when he was only 30. The picture did win for Best Cinematography. "High Noon" is another one of those 4 star movies one should have as well. Gary Cooper performing a similar task as Ladd - Ridding the town of bad guys.
