Disturbing yet mesmerizing
With only two actors, Alan Rickman and Madeline Stowe, this story pulled me in from the very beginning. My husband, a very logical more than emotional man, was equalkly enthralled by the captiviating performances. It is truly a distrubing story but makes one think about just how cruel one can be when je believes he is doing what's right and uses any avenue of torture to acheive his goal.
First tender and caring, unassuming and kind. Then cruel, sadistic and almost pitiful at the same time.
If you are looking for an action packed, shoot 'em up adventure, this is not it. But if you are looking to test your mind and what goes on in this world behind closed doors this a fantastic political thriller.
