This extractor is a bargain.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have made my hive, and my oxalic acid vaporizer, and I planned on making my extractor. However, when I discovered this stainless steel 2 frame extractor that only cost only $65.00 I decided that even if it needed to be re-designed and extensively modified, it would be worth the price. I have yet to use it to extract the first comb of honey, but I see no reason why it will not serve well for a long time just as it is.

Good
It does its job admirably. However it cools so quickly on the outside that the jars are still boiling hot as the pressure falls so that they boil over leaving too little liquid in the jars. This problem is easily remedied by keeping the heat on low until the pressure drops to zero.
