"Why I bought a 1979 Land Cruiser"
I'm a younger guy and do not know a lot about mechanical work. This vehicle is basic, simple to work on, and parts are readily available. It does not have fuel infejtion, overhead cams, co2 sen, tire inflation sensors and all that other stuff that always goes tits up in newer vehicles and requires certified mechanic support. Because I can understand the maintence that needs to be done (and there is plenty of it) I feel a bond with my vehicle, a sense of pride that I cannot find anywhere else. Plus it looks cool as hell!!!!! And I like the attention:) Especially when I put the snow plow on:)
