Christmas Revenge Story
Joel Kinnaman is a man with a mission. On Christmas Eve, his son was murdered by stray bullets fired by 2 rival gangs. In addition, he is shot in the throat, causing him to lose his voice. This is the reason that the rest of the movie is mostly silent, except for sounds from normal living. Depressed, he decides to get back at the gangs. He spends time building up his strength and learning how to shoot a gun. His target date is Christmas, the anniversary of his son's death. Does he succeed? That is where you feel the tension as he acts on his resolve.

Aliens Marines and Prisoners mix it up!
Alien Invasion Arizona is a low-budget movie with an Alien invasion thrown in for extra fun. There are no big names in this movie, but it seems to be entertaining. When a small Arizona town if invaded by aliens, the government sends marines there to help out the locals. Too bad there is only 1 left. The Marines are on a bus, This proves to be a bad choice, as a local prison has some of their worst prisoners escape. They take over the bus and all head to Alien City! This may sound like a crazy scenario, but it does supply action and fun! I recommend it if you don't expect a movie like big-budget Alien.

LIPSTICK is an interesting 80s movie that is still relevant today.
Lipstick is an 80s movie that was concerned very unPC at the time. Margot Hemingway is a model pushing lipsticks. Her younger sister, played by real-life sister, Mariel Hemingway, introduces her to her favorite teacher, Chris Sarandon. Sarandon goes to Margot's at her invitation to hear some of his music. During their meeting, Margot gets a call from her boyfriend. This sends Sarandon into a frenzy and he rapes her. Her sister comes home from school but doesn't know what has happened until her sister tells her. The police arrest Sarandon. At his trial, Margot's attorney, played by Anne Bancroft, works hard to prove Margot's story is correct, but Sarandon gets off anyway. This is a very good movie about why women don't report rapes. The acting is great. A shame that Margot committed suicide. She was beautiful and talented Mariel was able to make a career in acting, and ended the "suicide curst" that was following the Hemingway name.
