Terrific consumer grade camcorder
If you're looking for a feature rich camcorder, this should meet - and likely exceed - your expectations. If it's just a quick video shoot, this does it wonderfully. If, however, you want to the ability to go to the next level, this camcorder really shines because of two features: Using an external stereo mic; a headphone jack. This allows me to do some pretty sophisticated professional-like shooting. I have this camcorder (R62) along with two of it's cousins... the R60. Now I can do a 3 camera shoot and directly mic up to 6 different people (or rooms, etc.) and sync these in post production. The final output is very professional. What's also nice is that you can charge the battery while recording. It has a slew of other features that's too numerous to list in this review, but suffice to say, you won't be disappointed.
