Almost self-calibrating, accurate and easy to use on anything.
If you want to easily measure the speed of something, this will do it. I use it for RPMs, but it will also do feet per second, etc. For RPMs, you can measure For example, if you want to see if your stick blender is going 25,000 RPM, you put a little piece of the reflective tape on the blade, point the lighted end of the tach at it, and the speed will be shown on the LCD indicator. It will measure the ROMs on your lathe, drill press, crankshaft, or wire brush (which often have rpm limits), drill, string trimmer, etc. It also come with attachments that allow you to measure mechanically. What I mean is that you put the attachments on the tach, and the touch the tach to what you want to measure. I don't use this feature often, but it's helpful when you can't get a reading with the light/laser.

Nice Looking But the Cady Works Better and is Probably Cheaper
It works. It is far nicer looking than the Cady, and it catches the chads of cut off paper. The Cady cuts far more smoothly and also cuts more sheets of paper at once. I bought both and prefer the Cady.
