Eh, they are hinges

Switch is difficult
The only thing that stops me from reviewing as 5 star is the touch sensitivity of the power switch, it can be very tempermental, sometimes it takes several swipes to turn on or off, frustrating but not a deal breaker. Also it will not work when wet or with wet fingers, this almost earns just 3 stars because of how I use the light. I love that the light is dim-able for both white and red lamps. I bought this particular light for the level of waterproof protection, I leave one in my kayak equipment so I want to know it will work after being wet; which the switch sometimes prevents.

Exactly replaces the original trigger group that was damaged in an accident. Nothing special about this assembly.
