Excellent informative book
I have been home casting a while now and have many books on the subject. This book may be a little dated but has a wealth of information not found in other books.
Great information on alloys and their development and good sound advice on runners, gating etc.

Bargain charger for Dell Laptop
No problems so far after 3 weeks. Does what it should do. Doesn't get too warm either.

Very disappointed
Ordered this as a replacement for my kiln.
Firstly, the element is quoted as 2.5kW but actually showed 2.9kW on my power meter.
First trial was impressive due to the extra power but on a subsequent run the element slumped and expanded such that it came out of the retaining groove of the kiln and became stuck to the crucible (approx 1000 deg C) .
On cooling the element fractured in multiple places.
I have since wound my own 2kW elements in Kanthal for 1/3rd of the price of this item and these have already done three runs to 1100 deg C and no adverse results.
