thought provoking, intalecually stimulating, almost more fun than you can stand. :-)
I like-love crime dramas. Most of them follow sort of a formula in their episodes. Bruno Hell worked very hard to make Patrick Jane and unusual character and his relationships with his coworkers unique and often easy to predict. The first 5.5 years we are hunting down Red John, the serial killer that killed Jane's wife and daughter. Jane is to some extent a broken man that needs to mend or be mended and all of this makes for complex story lines. Also there is tons of stuff that links episodes together, hints of who Red John might be and why he appears to be aware of so many things and why Red John is a perfect foil for someone as sharp and as observant as Jane is. This is a fight worth watching.
I don't think I have ever been hooked on a program that is so complex and has so much going for it. I am addicted and have watched many of the episodes several times because there is so much subtle information and hints in each of them. Probably the best program ever.
